The Dweller-In-The-Depths known as Orin, also known as Arthur Curry finds himself sitting in his throne room. There is nothing surprising about being in his throne room. He is, after all, the King of Atlantis. Something, as he looks around the room, is not right here. Things have been moved and there is something about the room in general that is just wrong, the currents of the water having shifted - the temperature and taste of it indicating less use than this room should see.

It does not take very long for the staff of the palace to notice him. About as much time for him to realize that his hand it no longer missing, is no longer water but is distinctly flesh and blood. If the change from what he was expecting startles him, his expression does not show it. Very shortly he is surrounded by people attempting to ask him where he has been and what he has been doing. His last memories are of another day, like most of the others - ruling Atlantis and helping the people of Sub Diego adjust to their lives. There are buildings to be built and arrangements to be made.

Still, when he remembers that Mera is dead, it is not as if remember a long known fact but as if waking from a dream where it was not so, where she had been sharing his life. And yet, there is something else. He remembers a meeting on the surface with a man about another woman... Constantine was asking him for help for Zatanna. Something magical seems to have happened to his memory - he can remember with effort but nothing is as he expects it to be without that effort.

Well.

That will be a place to start.
